Tattoos & Tequila features only two new tracks, “Tattoos & Tequila” and “Another Bad Day”. The rest of the album is a compilation of hits, spanning decades, genres and artists that has been given a Vince Neil twist. The album features songs by Cheap Trick, The Sweet, Aerosmith, Sex Pistols and more, all redone Vince Neil style. Tattoos & Tequila also coincides with Vince's tell all book by the same name.
Neil has been touring sporadically in support of the new album and the book when Motley takes breaks from the road, and he is at it again. Neil will be touring during Motley's down time, but will rejoin the Crue to finish out their tour sometime in 2012.
Vince is an icon…for his voice, music, fame and infamy. You don't have to be a rocker to know the name as his name is synonymous with rock n roll. His mini tour will be hitting smaller venues across the U.S. This gives fans a chance to see him in a more intimate setting before he hits the arenas again on Motley's tour. Although I have never seen Vince play live on a solo tour I have seen him many times with Motley Crue and he never ceases to amaze me with his charismatic style.
So for all you rockers out there I highly recommend getting to a Vince Neil show. And I'm sure this time your friend can come!

Vince Neil has been making a name for himself as rock n roll's most notorious front man since 1981 when Motley Crue was first let loose on the world. He has lived the quintessential superstar, rock lifestyle that has included many successes as well as a few personal lows.
Motley Crue is, and has been, rock's bad boy band for almost thirty years. They have had multiple brushes with the law, drug and alcohol addictions and sex with multitudes of women all while managing to sell 80 million album copies worldwide. As the front man for such a notoriously decadent band, Vince has contributed to the Motley legend as much as the other three members of the Crue.
Vince's voice defined the 1980's rock and metal scene with songs like 'Home Sweet Home', 'Shout at the Devil', 'Smokin' in the Boys Room' and 'Girls Girls Girls'. Not content with being the rock gods of the 1980's and 90's, Motley Crue released their ninth studio album 'Saints of Los Angeles' in 2008, aggressively ascertaining their place at the top of the hard rock heap.
“With one loafer in the world of business and a steel toe boot heavily planted in rock n’ roll, Vince Neil is the epitome of a modern rock star living the luxury lifestyle continuing to create current music, writing, finding new businesses that interest him, giving back through his foundation and expanding his brand based on the complete and enviable standard he has attained.” - Vince Neil Bio, April 2010
But for all the super stardom, admiration and romanticizing of Vince Neil's life, his lows have been lower than your average joe's bad days. This is not a pity party for Vince, but it is a fact that when you have that kind of lifestyle....the money, the power....when you are up soooo high, you have farther to fall. You have more to lose.
It's true Motley Crue has become one of the best known bands in the world and that they have sold 80 million albums worldwide. It is also true that they will be remembered for years after you and I are long gone for their tenacity to remain in the spotlight, and the hearts and minds of rock fans thirty years after they started their journey. But at what a price?
One drunken afternoon of partying with Hanoi Rocks at Vince's house, Vince and Hanoi's drummer Razzle decided to go for a liquor run to the local liquor store down the street from Vince's house. That drive resulted in a fatal accident that ended the life of Razzle when Vince crashed into an oncoming car. That can't be a memory that's easily forgotten.
1995 brought heart ache to Vince when he lost his daughter Skyler to cancer which prompted him to start the Skyler Neil Memorial Foundation (www.skylarneil.org). Many people have lost loved ones to cancer, but have not had the money or status to do much about it, so it is commendable of Vince to use his celebrity status to start an organization that has raised over two million dollars to help battle childhood cancer.
Vince has also stepped out of the Motley machine on a few occasions to pursue other ventures. His current efforts include Feelgood's Rock Bar in West Palm Beach and Las Vegas, Vince Neil Ink at the Rio in Las Vegas, Tres Rios Tequila and Vince Neil Aviation.
1993 saw Vince's first solo project under the Warner Brothers label. Exposed debuted at #13 on the Billboard charts thanks to the first single “You're Invited But Your friends can't Come”. Two years later he released Carved In Stone which was a much more electronic, industrial sounding record. Carved In Stone sold less than 100,000 copies in the U.S. bringing his deal with Warner Brothers to an end. Eighteen years after his first solo album Vince released his fourth solo album with Tattoos & Tequila.
