Alexx Calise releases new EP AC3

I don’t get to write as much as I like now but that is to be expected. Even though I work where there are shows every Friday there isn’t enough time in the week for me to write. But when I hear music that inspires me I don’t have a lot of will power not to. I have been covering Alexx Calise for a few years now and when I got a chance to hear her new EP I couldn’t pass it up. She is, to say the least, one of my favorite artists.
Alexx's new EP AC3 is a step above and in a slightly different direction than what she has done in the past. Her earlier work was darker, and even a bit more pop-ish at times. AC3 is just plain rockin’!. There are very few female artists that I can stand listening to and all are from the 80s except Alexx. AC3 isn’t guitar rock in the sense that there are three minute solos but the heavy chunk is reminiscent of that era. In a different time this whole EP would be all over the radio, the heavy “Not Crazy” has an almost Joan Jett or Lita Ford vibe and you can definitely hear the influence on it. The other track that really stands out is “Survive” which is almost almost Pink Floyd-ish with Alexx's dreamy voice and guitar work. Lovers of rock and roll should love this EP. AC3 is classic Rock brought to the modern day, and I love it!
